The leaders of the G8 meet in L'Aquila, Italy, 8 years after announcing in Genoa (2001) the creation of the Global Fund to fight AIDS, TB and Malaria. While the Fund has made remarkable contributions, it faces the same funding uncertainties as it did at its inception. Now more than ever, the Global Fund needs predictable, sustained funding to help combat the 3 diseases.
